Amazon
rectifies relevant categories
Strict inspection before Prime Day
Preface
As Prime Day approaches, Amazon has once again stepped up its supervision of sellers, and multiple categories have been reviewed. As we all know, the toys category has always been a popular category on Amazon, but a series of problems such as CPC certification fraud have emerged, and a large number of accounts have been banned by Amazon. Next, let’s take a look at the impact of Amazon’s rectification of related categories and some countermeasures.
PART 1
Suspected non-compliance-large-scale account suspension or even remove from the shelves
Recently, a large number of children’s category sellers have also received
similar risk warnings and have been required by Amazon to submit compliance certificates such as CPC.
Content of the email received by the seller
First, sellers need to carefully review Amazon’s notifications or emails to confirm whether there is indeed a misjudgment of CPC certification.
At the same time, sellers can also evaluate whether the product does meet the definition of children’s products (i.e. whether it is a consumer product designed for children aged 12 and under) and whether CPC certification is indeed required.
If it is confirmed to be a misjudgment, sellers need to collect relevant evidence to support their appeal.
The consequences of being found guilty of CPC certificate fraud are very serious
CPC test reports are important compliance certificates for children’s products entering the US market. Their authenticity and accuracy are directly related to children’s safety and health.
Amazon has a severe penalty for fraud, which will result in a permanent ban on the account and the funds in the account cannot be withdrawn.

PART 2
Misjudgment 1
Non-children’s products are misjudged and need to provide CPC certificates.
Recently, Amazon has strengthened the supervision of keywords in related categories. Many sellers have received notifications that their product categories have “listing violations” or “violations of restricted product policies”. In serious cases, the products are even directly removed from the shelves. Some common sensitive keywords, including kid and children, need special attention.
The main reason for triggering this CPC certification is the use of child-related keywords in the listing, most of which are misjudged by the Amazon system.
Children’s Products Collection
Countermeasures:
- Check and delete banned words in time: Check the listing regularly and delete all illegal keywords.
- Optimize product descriptions: Use descriptive words that comply with Amazon regulations and avoid using words that are likely to trigger violations.
- Add a description on the details page: This product is not suitable for children 12 years old and under
- Send an English complaint email, and it must include the following content: product sales object; product ASIN code; product supplier information; comparison chart of the product and children’s products, etc.
